Hello Vanessa, I followed your link from your e-mail on yahoogroups. I lost my mom close to 7 months ago at age 31. She was 58, single mum and I am her only child. She was also my best friend. Her passing was a total shock and I am struggling big time to just cope and function. The pain is at times, like today, unbearable. I look forward to meeting more people going thru this experience through your site. Best,
I know there are no words I can say which will take away your pain. Your loss is still very raw and I can only imagine the rollercoaster ride your emotions are taking.
I hope and pray that through the struggle, you determine to never give up. Even if you feel as though you have no strength to continue, be committed to holding on. Believe it or not, one day there will be sunshine in your day again.
In the meantime, please know that you are in my prayers. You are not alone. There are so many of us who do not have our mothers with us. No one knows what it's like unless they've been there.
I wish you strength enough to make it through each day. Blessings to you.....
As a young girl, I remember opening the front door of my grandmother's home and being welcomed by family laughter, serious looks of card game players and the soulful serenades of the seventies. As much as I looked forward to stepping inside, the roses that grew along the porch never let me go in without first kissing my heart hello. It was at my grandma’s house that I fell in love with flowers, family, music and food.
